The G&G CM16 Compact 556 is a modernised Combat Machine platform combining lightweight reinforced polymer construction with compact ergonomics and G&G’s patented CHFS folding stock system. Featuring an interrupted flat-top rail for comfortable C-clamp grip placement and a durable MIG gearbox, it delivers agile handling with dependable skirmish performance.

The CM16 Compact 556 from G&G Armament introduces a modern ergonomic approach to the Combat Machine platform. Built with reinforced polymer construction, the rifle maintains durability while keeping overall weight low for improved manoeuvrability during fast-paced skirmishes.

One of the most distinctive features of the Compact 556 is its interrupted 20 mm flat-top rail design. Instead of a continuous upper rail, the receiver and handguard rails are separated to create a comfortable gripping area along the top of the rifle. This allows players to adopt a modern C-clamp support-hand grip, improving weapon control and target transitions while still retaining a rear rail section for optics mounting.

The rifle also incorporates G&G’s patented CHFS (Conductive Hinge Folding Stock) system. This folding stock maintains electrical continuity through the hinge mechanism, allowing the rifle to operate whether the stock is folded or extended. The design significantly reduces the rifle’s overall length during transport or CQB movement while maintaining full functionality.

Internally, the CM16 Compact 556 is built around G&G’s MIG gearbox, an upgraded Version 2 design derived from the G2 gearbox architecture. The system uses 8 mm steel bushings and is powered by G&G’s original long-axis motor rated at approximately 18,000 RPM, delivering consistent cycling and dependable performance.

The rifle uses a 270 mm precision inner barrel paired with a rotary hop-up chamber, providing stable accuracy and effective range for a compact platform. At the muzzle, a 14 mm CCW thread allows the installation of suppressors, tracer units, or other muzzle accessories.

Supplied with a 30-round mid-cap magazine featuring visible dummy rounds, the CM16 Compact 556 maintains a lightweight and realistic loadout while providing dependable feeding performance.
